"Meditation taught me meditation." ~ Swami Muktananda
“Asana practice should ultimately lead to the ability to be seated for a long time, so you can do pranayama and meditation, and so the body is not a source of distraction. Meditation cannot be done without proper preparation.” ~ Srivatsa Ramaswami
Meditation Course Testimonials:
Intense JOY & more energy:
I had been into meditation off and on, but I never got much from whatever I was doing (usually just noticing the breath, doing guided meditations, etc) more than a general feeling of relaxation, which is, of course, helpful. The first of the 3 meetings, when we meditated, I felt such intense JOY! I couldn't stop smiling, and my body started rocking back and forth on its own for a few minutes. After meditating this way every day for a few weeks, I stopped rocking but noticed I had lots more energy during the day and didn't want to fall asleep so early in the evening. I have had very interesting visions during meditations, and it's as if I finally have a good sense of who I really am, who we all really are.
It's been a mind-opening year with Ryoko. The breathing, the gentle and simple yoga poses and the meditation, all done together on a regular basis, have changed my life forever. I've come to relish the time I spend recharging my batteries every day, which is usually about an hour. I am so grateful to Ryoko and her teachers and their teachers before them.
